California just made a huge positive step in Healthcare

Governor Jerry Brown made California the fourth state in the US on Monday to allow physician assisted dying. Yes, only the fourth, and it's disappointing that the numbers (or the lack of) overshadow the real achievement. Everyone has the right to live, and everyone should have the right to die. Of course life is sacred, but the opponents of this law must not seriously think that California's true intentions are to have a genocide. They simply just want to help those people who have no hope of a cure, and are suffering. That's it, there is no story here, Everyone is allowed to make their decisions about their life and body. If you can go and get an abortion from a professional, you should also be able to go to your doctor to die. They are there to help you and to lessen your pain. In any way possible. Of course we support that background checks must take place, and several doctors (including psychologists) should sign off before you are allowed to die. You sho...

Hillary: It's time to panic

Not everyone will agree, but it may be time for Hillary to finally seriously panic about this race. Months have passed since her email scandal began, and since the rise of Bernie Sanders, and she is still not handling it that well. And the future doesn't look all that great either.

Hillary has got to stop the tide. And she is trying. She is giving more interviews and she is out there more, but Bernie is still the one that has the momentum. Some would argue that even Joe Biden has more momentum than Hillary's campaign. Hillary's campaign doesn't seem to be focused, it's like they are in denial.

Let's look at polling closer. Hillary Clinton is losing to Jeb Bush in Michigan. In Michigan. If a Democrat can't take Michigan, there are some real problems here. Moreover, she is only barely beating Trump there. Hillary has clearly slipped in the polls.

On a national scale too, she has got some major problems. In the latest poll, she got 33% of the vote. Which is not bad if you don't know the rest of the story. 33% is her lowest number so far. Six months ago, she had about double of that. And her lead too, for the first time, fell to single digits. She leads Joe Biden by 8%, and Bernie Sanders by 9%. It's bad for Bernie that Joe Biden beats him even without announcing officially, but its even worse for Hillary that he is this close to her.

What happened Hillary?

And things will get a lot worse if Joe Biden actually joins. He will automatically get a bump in polls due to all the media coverage. But what is worst, that he is much more likely to split Hillary's support than Bernie's. If Biden joins, Hillary could slip to 3rd place. Now that would be a complete disaster for her.

Let's look at the three states that vote in the first round. Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina. In New Hampshire Bernie leads relatively comfortably, Iowa is practically a head to head race as they are tied. And South Carolina is Biden's second home apparently. Hillary is ahead there now, but if Biden joins, he is likely to take it. So we could end up with Hillary losing all three starting states. This was unthinkable even just a few months ago.

Now, let's think about this rationally. Hillary is still the most likely to win the nomination. She has got the name recognition, money, and endorsements. And her campaign is focusing on the later states and the south. But still. Bernie and Biden are right there behind her, and her email saga will carry on for several months. It could potentially be catastrophic for her!

Sure the debates will help as she is a good debater. But so is Bernie and Biden, and people will be looking at them. She might do well, but she will probably lose support, as the debates are the perfect place for outsiders like O'Malley to gain.

So Hillary, it is time to panic and change up your campaign. Or you can follow Scott Walker.

Paris was attacked again

EPA On Friday, the 13th of November, everything was normal in Paris. People were happy that the weekend is here, and went out with friends and loved ones for some dinner and drinks, or for their favorite band's concert or cheered for their home nation as France took on Germany in an International friendly. The same night though, the evil also descended on the French capital and took away 130 souls. It was an absolute tragedy. People have been shocked to their cores. It is with great sadness that we write about this topic. It touched us very deeply too. That is partially why it took us so long to reflect on this issue, the other being the fact that there is still so many new developments surfacing continuously. The whole picture is not clear yet. It may never be. What is perhaps one of the most striking facts about this attack beyond the number of casualties, is the fact that this is the second tragedy in Paris this year alone. It has only been 10 months since gunm...

Immigration is shaking up the politics of Europe

Migrant crisis in the Mediterranean. Refugees streaming in from Syria and Iraq. Eastern European workers in the Western member states. These are the forms of Immigration that are currently transforming the political landscape of the EU. The National Front is rising in France, UKIP in the UK, Jobbik in Hungary, Lega Nord in Italy and the Freedom Party in Holland. Brussels is stuck, and there doesn't seem to be a right way out of this mess for them. Every week, thousands of Africans are rescued from the Mediterranean Sea, as their little, and unsafe boats capsize and face imminent death. The Europeans are trying to rescue them out of their goodwill and human compassion, but they just generate more problems for them. Italy can't handle tens of thousands of immigrants each month, and the EU has no facilities either. These migrants are living in horrible conditions, and there is no hope for them. Similarly, thousands of illegal immigrants are trying to enter the ...

Paul Ryan elected as the next Speaker of the House

Getty Images Representative Paul Ryan of Wisconsin has been elected as the 62nd Speaker of the House on Thursday. The Republican succeeds John Boehner who resigned last month after nearly 5 years. The Speaker is second in-line to the Presidency and sets his party's agenda in the house. Speaker Boehner resigned the day after the Pope's historic visit due to a rift in the party and the continued debate over the next possible Government shutdown. His resignation was seen as a victory to many in the year of political outsiders gaining momentum in Washington. Many blamed him for the lack of progress made in Congress over the past few years, despite the fact that he passed several key legislations during his tenure. Immediately after Boehner's resignation, California Representative Kevin McCarthy was seen as the natural successor to his boss, he however dropped out of the race soon afterwards due to disagreements and the fear of not getting the required support. Rya...
