California just made a huge positive step in Healthcare

Governor Jerry Brown made California the fourth state in the US on Monday to allow physician assisted dying. Yes, only the fourth, and it's disappointing that the numbers (or the lack of) overshadow the real achievement. Everyone has the right to live, and everyone should have the right to die. Of course life is sacred, but the opponents of this law must not seriously think that California's true intentions are to have a genocide. They simply just want to help those people who have no hope of a cure, and are suffering. That's it, there is no story here, Everyone is allowed to make their decisions about their life and body. If you can go and get an abortion from a professional, you should also be able to go to your doctor to die. They are there to help you and to lessen your pain. In any way possible. Of course we support that background checks must take place, and several doctors (including psychologists) should sign off before you are allowed to die. You sho

Jimmy Carter, the great legacy of the Peanut Farmer President

As Jimmy Carter announced on August 12 that he has cancer, all the cameras turned back to him. The general coverage of his announcement was full of the expected well-wishes, but was also full of negative comments on his Presidency. We found this terribly disturbing and wrong, so we will show why all the critics are wrong. It is true that his legacy is polarising the public, but people seem to forget that he did a lot for America.

Surveys that try to rank Presidents often put Jimmy Carter towards the end, and brand his presidency ignorable and only as a 'seat-warmer' for Reagan. This however couldn't be more false. And this opinion is coming from a Republican's mouth.

But first of all, it must be stated that all Presidents deserve the respect of people, as they have huge responsibilities on their back.

Jimmy Carter was a one term President, who greatly suffered from the Iran hostage crisis, and was the only Democrat elected into the White House between 1968 and 1992. But he was in fact so much more.

He was a great believer in peace, and he acted about as well. He was the only American President who didn't deploy combat troops overseas. He was the President who really took it on himself to make peace in the Middle East and his Camp David accords between Israel, Palestine and the rest of the Arab World led to probably the calmest few years in that region. He also continued Nixon's detente with the Soviet Union as best as he could before the invasion of Afghanistan in 1979. He also improved relations with Latin and South America, and withdrew from Panama.

Domestically too he had a good record too. He created more jobs than every recent President, except Bill Clinton. Debt and Unemployment rates were relatively low under him, and he kept the economy growing. He was also the first one who deregulated the American economy, and probably saved it. It might have had bad effects later on, but it was necessary then.

The only serious mistake he ever made was a big one though. He didn't handle Iran the way Iran would have liked it too, and thus causing the hostage crisis, which was dramatized in Ben Affleck's Argo. But he held onto America' values and negotiated for his staff. However, at home it destroyed him in the polls, and Ronald Reagan was able to beat him in 1980 due to the scandal.

He didn't play political games, he acted in the best interest of the nation, and not his own. This probably cost him his second term. He deserves a much bigger respect and applause that he is getting right now.

After leaving the White House, he became the most active ex-President ever, even more so than Richard Nixon. He founded the Carter Center with his wife Rosalynn, and they decided to dedicate their life and influence on building peace and hope, and fighting disease in less fortunate countries. He has monitored over a 100 elections (the last being this year, the next is supposed to be in November in Myanmar), and traveled around the world promoting democracy and peace.

He fought wars against wars all his life, but he is now facing his biggest battle yet. Cancer. And we wish him only the best and a quick recovery.

Jimmy Carter is a real American hero.

Paris was attacked again

EPA On Friday, the 13th of November, everything was normal in Paris. People were happy that the weekend is here, and went out with friends and loved ones for some dinner and drinks, or for their favorite band's concert or cheered for their home nation as France took on Germany in an International friendly. The same night though, the evil also descended on the French capital and took away 130 souls. It was an absolute tragedy. People have been shocked to their cores. It is with great sadness that we write about this topic. It touched us very deeply too. That is partially why it took us so long to reflect on this issue, the other being the fact that there is still so many new developments surfacing continuously. The whole picture is not clear yet. It may never be. What is perhaps one of the most striking facts about this attack beyond the number of casualties, is the fact that this is the second tragedy in Paris this year alone. It has only been 10 months since gunmen at

Christie makes it 7

Iowa and New Hampshire have done their job again. The field is narrowing down, as New Jersey Governor Chris Christie has become the latest candidate to drop out of the Republican race. The outspoken governor was an early frontrunner in this race, however he was hurt by the Bridgegate scandal back home, and was overshadowed in the crowded Establishment/Governor lane and by the rise of political outsiders like Donald Trump. After coming in at 6th place in the Granite State, Christie didn't believe in the race anymore, as he put all his eggs in one basket. It worked for Kasich, not for Christie, and that is why we are saying bye to him now. In the run-up to the 2012 election, Chris Christie was widely favored in the party, and thought of as a potential candidate. He was however not yet ready and did not join, despite the fact that Romney received a surprisingly strong challenge from Rick Santorum, Ron Paul and Newt Gingrich. He did however went on to campaign heavily for Romney la

Special Report Part 3: Migrant Crisis Live from Budapest

Budapest is a beautiful city. In fact even in an objective opinion, it can be called one of the most gorgeous creations. It simply is just amazing. It is also sometimes referred to as the centre of Europe, due to its geographical location. However, this year it also became the centre of something else. The migrant crisis that is engulfing the EU.  The sad truth of the matter is that the demographics  of the world is changing, and we must accept it. There is nothing we can do at this point to change or stop it. This year already, almost 100,000 migrants have crossed into Hungary alone (and thus the EU) illegally. And many more were probably missed by authorities. The ones who chose this route over the Mediterranean, usually come from warn torn regions such as Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan or from parts of the world where they have few opportunities and bad living conditions such as Pakistan and Kosovo. Many of them travel to Budapest on foot, and sleep with the capital's hom
